After I graduate in only two short weeks, I will be traveling for a couple of weeks with my family and then another three weeks with a few of my closest friends. This trip is trip has been in the works for quite sometime, and something that I have wanted to do since I was in high school. Because I was not able to do a full semester abroad since the design program is so specific to UGA, this trip will be that much more special. We have finally decided on our final itinerary (!) and I have to say it’s pretty legit. We each picked cities that we have always wanted to visit, so we are literally traveling all around:
1. Israel – with my fam!
2. London – for a family get together with our cousins who live there
3. Prague – peace out Gblums
4. Amsterdam – with all my friends!!
I know these travels and experiences will be beyond amazing. The people, food and cultures I will be exposed to will not only influence me as a person, but also as a designer. I will sadly not be blogging during this trip, but no worries – I will be documenting EVERYTHING and will post as soon as I return!
A few weeks ago while staying at my friend’s home in Atlanta, I rediscovered my love for RED. She doesn’t live in any old shack though… her family resides at The St. Regis in the heart of Buckhead. I absolutely love going to stay for weekend not only because I feel like I am a part of her family, but because I always admire the beautiful interiors they change seasonally in the public areas of the hotel. And the killer pool isn’t too bad.
Doesn’t the bright red pop in contrast to the tan cement?! The perfect color for this area in my opinion. I also applaud the scale of the different aspects around the pool: the lanterns, awnings, fireplace, and staircase for example.
Here are some of my other red inspirations:

Prague – I’ll see you so soon!
Happy Fat Tuesday y’all!! I just got back from NOLA yesterday after spending a long five days partying it up at Mardi Gras. I have been once before freshman year, so I had to make it back one more time before I officially entered the real world. Ugh.
I absolutely love everything about New Orleans – especially the food and the music. No other city I have visited offers such a rich, vibrant culture. Here are some pics into my crazy weekend:
My friend Rachel trying to catch some beads
Shelby and Sam!
As seen at the parades. Too cute.
The colors are amazingggggg
An artist on the dance floor at Blue Nile on Frenchman Street. Definitely my favorite memories from the weekend happened here…
The houses on St. Charles were so charming
The King of Mardi Gras… Hugh Laurie
Parades after Dark. Beads for miles.
Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Years! Sorry for my lack of posts this past week… I have finally made it back to Athens, Georgia after making pit stops in Baton Rouge, Atlanta and Savannah while driving back from Austin last weekend. I can’t believe that this is my last semester of college and that the next time I return to Texas I will be a graduate! Lord help me.
One of my favorite things to do while in Austin is running Lady Bird Lake. There really is no place like it and the more times I go, the more I appreciate all it has to offer. When you truly begin to appreciate something, you also begin to notice the small things – and make connections.
Pops of red everywhere:

Peace Out ATX
My last week in San Fran was filled with all my favorite things left on my to do list. Besides the insane amount of food I inhaled, my last two stops were the Aquarium and the Japanese Tea Garden:
I know, crazy creatures.

Love the lillies
We had some great times together, but all good things must come to an end – Bye SF, I’ll miss you!!
It’s my last week in Cali, which is very bittersweet. It has been an amazing month and a half (thank you Aly!!). During the week days I’m all work at my internship at Kendall Wilkinson Design, but during the weekends Aly and I have been exploring around the bay area. As I look back at my some of my photos from my time here in San Fran, I am reminded of the various, breathtaking places I’ve experienced and some of the beautiful things I have seen:
The Flower Conservatory
Tahoe with the fam
Strut your stuff Al
We found this on the trail – how cute!

For those of you who do not already know, I am OBSESSED with this woman named Beyonce, aka Queen B. I had the honor, no, the privilege, of seeing her do her thang in person last week. I am still semi-speechless about the whole affair, but here are some insane pictures of the life changing event just to give you a taste of what you missed:
I can now say I have lived a full, satisfied life.
And I thought my Europe trip went by fast… These past four weeks in San Fran has literally flown by, and I cannot believe I only have two more weeks! This city has so much to offer, and I have been lucky enough that a native, aka my sis Aly, has shown me all the highlights.
Here’s a catch up of my time here:

I was going to blog about my first few weeks in San Fran, when I realized I have not updated y’all about my London trip! I stayed with family in London too, which was amazingggg, so it was really nice to catch up with them and explore the city!
